Let Imaginations Take Flight.

Sometimes, I don't really understand why many people are trying to discourage people from moving into the art and media sector, in particular, the animation studio. Is money really the important factor for everything?

I can understand that one, have to support their own family no matter what, no matter how much the person earns every month. It's good that if you earn more, you can afford more things for yourself or people around you. You can probably buy yourself an expensive bag or a watch, or something that you desire the most. With money, everything is possible. I mean once you start to take responsibility,
money will become the most important things to you. If someone were to say "no... money is secondary", this person is probably still dependent on his/her parents because being in debt or in a low income family have never come across their mind. Probably, I am still dependent on my parents too, and not worrying so much on money issue, thus passion first, then money.

However, imagine working for a job that you don't like for 30 years just to earn so much money. What's worst is that one day you might just think about it and regret that you didn't persevere and follow your own passion. Even if it's just for a year till you are sick and tired of it of that you have wished to work, at least you tried. What for studying so much in the digital animation field if you don't have the intention to work in that industry anymore. Does the pursuit of degree paper ever that important to make you sacrifices your 4 years in a university? Why not study other course at  the beginning of the day?

Sadly, from a business point of view, if businessman in Singapore were to invest in animation studio, they would probably think twice. Firstly, you have to invest so much money such as employees' salary, rent, software etc that doesn't 100% guarantee you a huge profit once the film is broadcast on TV. Chances are they might even lose more than what they have invested. This kind of uncertainty just discourages them to put in support for the animation studio.

Oh well, guess I have to find my own path out. Who knows, one day I might become a famous person? LOL!
