Hahaha... I think the kiasuism is harder to get rid of especially when it comes to marks. After all, I am still a Singaporean which I can't really deny it. Actually went to calculate my marks when I was looking at the mistakes that I made. It was pretty ridiculous when the marks did not have much cross though was near to the borderline of failing.
Went for philyouth practice just now, surprisingly I was given the 2nd part to play. Though nothing big to show off. *Smiling inside* after playing 3rd for almost quite a while. I meant a while = a few years. But anyway, wasn't as tough as last year when I came in though I see stars while playing, I suppose by a few times of practice I can still get it.
Realising that the new players coming in are people with music background, my mind would start to think,"Why are they so lucky? Why do they have tutors to teach at a super young age? Why they have this and that but I don't? Plus most of the people came in at the age of 14-18???" And after all that I am only looking at those people who are lucky enough, what about those who are like me? No music background, only started like 13?
I suppose they also do put in a lot of effort to get where they are today though they might not be on par with music background people. At least they figured their way out and break through the trend, enabling themselves to pursue their interest further.
Still, considering myself lucky enough to get in. Quite lucky to get what I want.
To think of another way, people do take things for grant when some things are just right in front of you. Things are so easy to come by, something that people will not be concerned with because they know that was given to them.
Lacking of privileges may also make one's more determine to figure a way out and learn from mistakes though is a slow process. That makes one cherish more in terms of the process and effort that has been put in.
Okay, enough of nonsense! XD
